Marlins Board Meeting Minutes (4/15/24)

1. Upcoming Events
   - Possible new Short Course meet- Atlantic Coast Clash: Scheduled for October 3-5 in Virginia Beach. 
   - Training Trip: Steven expressed interest in planning a training trip; awaiting pricing and possible dates. 
   - Amina is working on securing a pool for the week of June 9th for training trip. 

2. Short Course Banquet Recap
   - The recent banquet went well; planning to start organizing earlier next time to avoid time constraints.
   - Discussion on how to encourage more Lancer Lot participants to attend future events.


3. Finances
   - Julie reported on finances; there was significant coach travel this past month.
   - Julie received guidance from Carrie, and reports have been sent out.
   - Transitioning to electronic receipt reimbursement for expenses.
   - Budgeting details for summer team Marlins  sponsorships 
     - $1,000 Total budget
     - Spring Run: $250
     - Hunting Hills: $250
     - Read Mountain: $300

4. Upcoming Meets Short Course Hosted meets
   - Marlins were awarded 
        - 8 and Under Champs
        - District Champs with LY

5. Fallon Park Update
   - The city is managing the pools, and there will be hourly lane rentals.
   - Working directly with the city starting the week of June 9th
   - Waiting for confirmation from the city regarding the schedule and cost for lane rentals.

6. Next meeting scheduled for May 20th, 8:30 pm virtual
